Day trips are a great way to explore more of Japan and see new places. Kyoto and Osaka are popular destinations, but they're not the only interesting places in western Japan. There are so many great places to visit and things to do in Kansai, including Kobe, Nara, Mount Koya (Koya-san), Hiroshima, Miyajama (Itsukushima), Kinosaki Onsen and Kurashiki.
